On September 8, 1953, George Adamski again received a
signal to meet the Space Brothers in Los Angeles. He checked into the usual
hotel where he was soon met by
Firkon and Ramu, who had come specifically to answer
any questions Adamski might have concerning his exper-iences among them.
They ordered dinner in the hotel cafe, and Adamski began
his questions by asking about reports of a scout-master in Florida who
claimed to have been attacked by a flame fired out of a hovering saucer.
Firkon replied that what the man had left out of his account of the incident
was that, overcome with terror at seeing the saucer, he had begun to hack
away at its hull with a machete, setting off a chain reaction in the ship's
magnetic energy field. His injury was not the result of malice, but
of simple physics, caused by the man's own irrational behavior.
Firkon then confirmed the reality of a Brush Creek, California
sighting, in which two titanium miners watched a diminutive humanoid draw
water from the creek, then fly away in a hissing metal disc. He stressed,
however, that contacts were being made all over the world by a variety
of extraterrestrial groups, and that those involved in the Brush Creek
encounters were not from the group in contact with Adamski.
When asked about the shocking death of Captain Thomas
Mantle, whose F-51 fighter plane exploded while in pursuit of a giant saucer
on January 7, 1948, Firkon explained that what had caused the destruction
of the vehicle was its design, and not any hostile action taken by the
Space Brothers. Monitoring Mantell's pursuit, the saucer's pilot
determined that his intentions were sincere and peaceful, so they slowed
down, planning to bring him aboard. But as he approached the saucer's
energy field, the protruding wings of his fighter were pulled forward faster
than its fuselage, causing the whole vehicle to come apart. The Space
Brothers were shocked and saddened by the occurrence. Firkon stressed
that all air-going vehicles with protruding parts are in danger, not only
from the energy fields of spaceships, but from natural fluctuations in
the magnetic field of the Earth. Disc or cigar-shaped designs do not share
this flaw.
EARTH'S SECRET HISTORY
With Adamski's specific questions answered, the conversation
turned to the Cosmic teachings of the Space Brothers. Firkon stated
that planets and solar systems are constantly in the process of being formed
and disintegrating. In the vast cosmos, innumerable planetary systems
had been born and vanished before our own system had even begun to form.
These ancient systems were people by humans like ourselves.
From time immemorial, he continued, developing systems
have been monitored for planets reaching a stage where they can support
human life. Such planets are colonized by volunteers from many worlds
in other systems. In this way, Humanity has spread throughout the galaxy.
In our system, the Earth was the slowest planet to reach
this stage of development, and even then, once it had been initially colonized,
it was discovered that coming atmospheric changes would soon render the
planet again unlivable. Most of the colonists were evacuated, except
for a few who had "gone native" and who chose to ride out the changes in
caves and other natural shelters. These few have been lost in the
annals of time and myth, and no clear record of their fate is known.
THIS PRISON EARTH
Later, when the Earth again became life-friendly, it was
once again colonized, but not by the usual breed of volunteers. In
the time since the first colonization it had become policy for individuals
exhibiting difficulties adjusting to the harmony of Space Brother civilization
to be gathered together on a newly-livable world, in hopes that, in quarantine
from outside influences, they might be forced to work through their difficulties,
establish their own harmony, and someday rejoin the Galactic Feder-ation.
The Earth was the planet chosen for this purpose in our
system, and the dissident colonists from Earth's second seeding are our
direct ancestors. Over time, they did not find harmony, but developed
through violence and unnatural divisions into tribes, states and nations
until they had created the war-torn world we now inhabit.
On other worlds, Firkon concluded, evolution proceeds
smoothly. But on Earth, because of our confused and discordant heritage,
we are stuck in our development, and repeatedly reach certain peaks only
to fall into division, war, and the destruction of all we have worked to
build up. He stressed that, in this process of evolution, the Space
Brothers can only observe and assist.
FLYING SAUCERS FAREWELL
On August 23, 1954, Adamski met Firkon and Ramu for the
last time. Aboard the mothership, he was allowed to join a festive
farewell banquet in honor of his two friends who were scheduled to return
to their home-worlds. Adamski was treated to a grand feast, complete with
exotic, otherworldly foods, and even an interpretive dance recital.
He was taken for a return trip to Earth's moon, where he was shown great
saucer hangers hidden inside craters on the side facing Earth, as well
as a bustling human community, snowcapped mountains, and a number of lakes
and rivers on the side we never see.
Before returning him to Earth, the Space Brothers told
Adamski that Earthlings stood on the brink of a new age of cosmic understanding.
For the first time, we are aware of other worlds and of the possibility
of life beyond Earth. One of the Space Brothers' chief purposes in allowing
their saucers to be seen in such number in recent years was to awaken us
to the reality of our true extraterrestrial origins and our destiny among
the stars.
GEORGE ADAMSKI FAREWELL
In 1961, Adamski published his final work, Flying Saucers
Farewell, in which he summarized the teachings of the Space Brothers and
speculated at length on some pressing contact issues of his day the governmental
UFO cover-up, skeptics and debunkers, UFOs and the Bible, Spiritualism
and "channeled" messages from space, etc. Much of the book is devoted
to a chronology of his world speaking tour, which culminated in a Royal
audience with Her Majesty Queen Julianna of the Netherlands.
George Adamski died in 1965, at the age of 74, leaving
his three classic narratives Flying Saucers Have Landed!, Inside the
Spaceships and Flying Saucers Farewell as lasting testaments to both
the message of the Space Brothers for our time, and to the strength and
integrity of the man they choose to be their first earthly messenger.
